Sydney to Surfers Time again!!!!!!!!!!

June 09

May 2009 saw the running of the 11th Annual Macsim Sydney to Surfers Bike Ride.

The ride was started in 1998 to raise funds for the Rotary Club of Engadine with the primary beneficiaries of all monies raised from the ride going to Father Chris Riley's "Youth off the street" (YOTS) program in NSW AND QLD.

Over the past 11 years of the ride Macsim has helped raise over $1.3million for the Rotary Club of Engadine.

This year's ride started on 2nd May at Hornsby Tafe College and went for 7days and over 930km of distance ridden with 155 cyclists participating including Macsim Fastening

Managing Director Fraser Mackay-Sim. Who also kindly donated a car for the Major Prize

for the raffle. The ride travelled through the beautiful NSW towns of Morrisset, Bulahdelah, Laurieton, Nambucca, Grafton and Kyogle before culminating in Surfers Paradise.

Macsim would like to thanks all cyclists, support staff and sponsors for all the effort they put in to help raise money for those a little less fortunate than ourselves.
